Super League Magic Weekend 2026: Teams, fixtures and what to expect at the Hill Dickinson Stadium

All 14 Super League teams will battle it out on the same pitch over two days in July.

The Magic Weekend, covering July 4 and 5, sees round 17 of the league played in Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It promises to be an exciting round of rugby, writes Sports News Blitz’s rugby league fan Tom Down.

Magic Weekend fixtures

Saturday kicks off the show at 12:30pm when Huddersfield Giants take on York Knights in a Yorkshire clash.

This will then be followed by a match-up between the two Hull teams at 3pm as league champions Hull KR come up against Hull FC.

The next match sees Warrington Wolves against Leigh Leopards at 5:30pm.

Then, to close off day one, a battle between the clubs across the Channel will take place, with Catalans Dragons meeting Toulouse Olympique at 8pm.

Sunday’s games begin at 12:30pm with Wakefield Trinity vs Castleford Tigers.

League leaders Leeds Rhinos then face off against Bradford Bulls at 3pm.

And to close off a hectic weekend of rugby league, the ‘Battle of Billinge Hill’ takes place once more as Wigan Warriors face St Helens.

Where to watch

All games are taking place in the Hill Dickinson Stadium, home of Everton FC.

Tickets are available online, starting from £36 for a single day.

Games will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports, but your local pub may choose to play FIFA World Cup matches instead.

What to expect

If you’re going to see the games in person, be ready for activities and sights all around the stadium before heading to the stands for some action-packed games.

The Magic Weekend is a celebration of rugby league and goes above and beyond regular fixtures in its bid to promote and shine a light on the sport.

A couple of teams to look out for would be Leeds Rhinos, who are currently top of the table by two points, and Wigan Warriors, who were recently crowned Challenge Cup winners.

All in all, it looks to be an exciting event for rugby league fans.
