Sports News Blitz-sponsored rounders team Horsforth Hawks Reds stormed to a historic 30.5-16 win over Sharks Thunder in a commanding performance on Monday night.

The Hawks Reds secured promotion to Division 4 last season - and are now on the brink of making it back-to-back promotions after racking up a seventh win in eight games to consolidate second place in the table behind long-time leaders Idle Red Kites.

We have invited co captains Liz and Liv to provide us with a match report for each game - and here are the full details from Monday night’s epic win.

Horsforth Hawks Reds beat Sharks Thunder 30.5 – 16 in a historic performance 💪

30.5 rounders. Our highest ever score and the highest score in Division 4 this season!

In the field, catches from Liz, Sam and Liv kept Sharks' scoring in check, while the backing up on second was outstanding — Beth S, Wasan, Kirsty, Laura and Beth K all doing their bit to cut off every loose ball. 

Sharp throws in from Amy, Han, Steph and Rhiannon kept the pressure on relentlessly. 

Everyone played their part and it showed on the scoreboard.

With the bat, the Hawks were simply unstoppable - balls flying to every corner of the field. 

Amy top scored with a magnificent 5.5, Liv close behind with 4.5, and contributions came from across the whole line-up to put up a total that'll take some beating this season.

🏅 Joint Players' POM - Amy, for 5.5 rounders, body-on-the-line fielding and lovely throws into 2nd; and Liv, for multiple catches from backstop, great throws into 2nd and 4.5 rounders with the bat.
