Padel returns to its birthplace in a tournament for the Premier Padel tour
Padel is set to return to the very birthplace of the sport for the final stages of the Premier Padel tour.
All quarter-final and final matches of the tournament will be played in Acapulco, Mexico, and will be shown exclusively on Red Bull TV from November 28 to 30.
Before we get there, Sports News Blitz’s Vanely Barumire takes a look at where the tour will be headed before its inaugural return.
Rotterdam, Holland
Kicking off in the Netherlands, qualifications for the first stop of the tour will start on September 28, and conclude on September 29, with the whole tournament expected to end on October 5.
All the sport’s big names are expected to play, and Aruto Coello and Agustin Tapia will be looking to add more trophies to their already stacked mantels.
Rotterdam will be a good place to see how the other pair will gear up against the Coello-Tapia dominance.
Milano, Italy
In the city of fashion, padel will bring its own style of play as the sport’s best players face off for another week-long competition.
Between October 6 and 12, the sporting world will be watching to see if Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galan can gain crucial points and start to bridge the gap between them and the current world leaders.
Galan, the former world No.1, will certainly be looking to reclaim his title.

Dubai, UAE
The tour will make a pit stop in the United Arab Emirates, with games being played in Dubai from November 9 to November 16. This comes after a stop in the largest integrated upscale development in Egypt - Newgiza.
After this, the tour will make its much-anticipated finale in Mexico.
Acapulco, Mexico
While Spain houses most of Padel’s enthusiasts and professionals, it was in Mexico that the sport came to be.
With its first organised court being built by Enrique Corcuera in Acapulco, Mexico, the South American country is synonymous with the sport.
While none of the top players are from Mexico, the matches are still set to be an electrifying and emotional close to the tour.
