Padel news: Pure Padel, Property+Padel host sellout networking event at flagship Manchester club
Property+Padel – the world’s leading corporate networking-meets-padel community – held its first event of 2026 for over 120 real estate and corporate professionals at the flagship Manchester venue of rapidly growing UK operator Pure Padel.
In what was the community’s sixth outing since the launch 18 months ago, the event marked Property+Padel’s first trip to the north of England, with the country’s most vibrant padel city, Manchester, playing host.
Padel’s UK boom
Guests heard from Pure Padel founder, Sammy Arora, and national acquisition director, Hayden Small, about how the operator has successfully built and opened six padel clubs, with a potential further 10 due to open by the end of 2026.
Paul Burton, partner at Manchester-based law firm, JMW Solicitors, spoke alongside Roma Finance managing director, Scott Marshall, covering the issues relating to real estate, finance, and the legal side of padel operator growth.
JMW itself has become synonymous with the sport in recent times, becoming the first law firm in the UK to open its own padel-specific department to cater for the sport’s boom in the UK.
However, it was a presentation from Playtomic’s co-founder and chief commercial officer, Pablo Carro, titled ‘UK: The World’s Most Social Padel Nation’, that delivered the headline of the day.
Miami-based Carro spoke to the UK market’s comparison with the United States and announced how the UK had become the number one nation worldwide in terms of padel court occupancy, surpassing Spain, Argentina, and other strongholds.

Networking through padel
In a further fascinating revelation, Carro announced that the Manchester area now has a 15% higher padel court occupancy rate than any other city in the UK, providing further confirmation of the northwest’s emergence as the UK’s most dynamic hub for the sport.
Attendees also learnt that Playtomic remains the dominant force in British padel for bookings and community growth with 80% market share.
Rohit Grewal, co-founder of Property+Padel, said: “The sellout Winter Summit & Social was proof, should we need it, of the UK’s growing affection for corporate networking through padel.
“With 120 guests from across Manchester’s vibrant business scene, it was clear that the appetite for professional networking is growing – and with padel, it has a new catalyst.
“With Playtomic’s support and Pure Padel’s second-to-none hospitality on full show, the Winter Summit & Social was what our growing network is all about.”
Positioned as “an afternoon where ideas move from the stage to the court”, the Winter Summit & Social also featured an afternoon of padel play, networking, and winter hospitality.
