Padel news: Premium indoor club announced in Coulsdon as Pure Padel expands into London region
One of the UK’s fastest-growing padel club operators, Pure Padel, is thrilled to announce plans for a brand-new premium indoor padel club in Coulsdon, South London, located within the London Borough of Croydon.
The company has just submitted a planning application, with a decision expected in mid-February, marking Pure Padel’s first entry into the London region.
Coulsdon club’s planned facilities
The new venue will see Pure Padel renovate a warehouse into a premium padel destination featuring six indoor padel courts, a café and licensed bar, pro shop, vibrant social spaces, changing facilities, and a co-working business lounge, creating a modern hub for sport, community and work.
One of the defining strengths of the Coulsdon site is its outstanding transport connectivity.
The club will be located just a 10-minute walk from Coulsdon South station, offering direct trains to both London Victoria and King’s Cross St Pancras, with a door-to-door journey from Victoria in under 40 minutes.
This accessibility positions the venue to serve both local communities and London-based players, while helping address the current undersupply of indoor padel courts across South London and Surrey.

Excitement over new venue
Sammy Arora, founder and managing director of Pure Padel, said: “We’re incredibly excited about bringing Pure Padel to Coulsdon.
“This will be our first club in the London region and a really important step in building our presence across the South East, especially alongside our Lightwater club in Surrey.
“The accessibility of this site is exceptional, and there’s a clear shortage of high-quality indoor padel facilities in the area.
“Converting this warehouse into a premium padel club with a business lounge and social spaces allows us to create something that works for sport, community, and modern working lifestyles.
“It’s exactly the type of venue Pure Padel is about.”

Fastest-growing padel club operator
Pure Padel has become a dominant force on the UK sporting scene ever since the opening of its first club in Alderley Park in October 2023.
In just over two years, the company, led by ambitious entrepreneur Arora, has opened its flagship indoor club in Manchester city centre, followed by Darlington, Stockport, North Leeds, and most recently Nottingham city centre.
Construction is now underway at its upcoming Lightwater, Solihull, and Glasgow clubs as Pure Padel continues to scale its national footprint.
By the end of 2026, the company’s rapid growth will make Pure Padel one of the largest padel operators in the UK.
Further to this, planning is also approved or progressing for additional clubs including Birmingham city centre, Gosforth, York, Royal Wootton Bassett, and now Coulsdon, cementing Pure Padel’s position as one of the UK’s fastest-scaling premium padel operators.

A flexible business model
Pure Padel operates a pay-to-play model, with courts bookable via the Playtomic app and no membership fees, significantly reducing the barriers to entry for new players and allowing people to play as much or as little as they like.
This flexible approach has been central to Pure Padel’s rapid national growth and its mission to make padel accessible to all.
The Coulsdon site is also expected to attract strong interest from corporate partners and local businesses, with the co-working business lounge and central location making it well-suited to corporate events, networking sessions, and private hire.
Highly experienced and qualified LTA coaches will be available for coaching to all levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced players, ensuring a holistic padel experience for the local community.
Pure Padel is equipped with backing from a strong selection of non-exec board members from retail, property, finance, and law and has accumulated various sources of investment.
