Electromagnetic Storm map condition in Arc Raiders

I’ve been sleeping on some of these special events, preferring to just do the same regular runs of looting and killing on the same maps. I imagine that many of you have also been doing the same.
Well, it is now time to step out of your comfort zone and venture forth.
So, what are these events I’m talking about? Well, in Arc Raiders, when choosing which map to play, you’ll occasionally see one of the three below.
Electromagnetic Storm
Night Raid
Hidden Bunker
Atmosphere
I’m going to talk about the first one, “Electromagnetic Storm,” as it changes everything in the way the game is played.
The very first thing you’ll notice is the sound. Embark Studios has done a phenomenal job of replicating what it should sound like.
With any PVP game, one of the primary methods of locating a potential enemy is by hearing them.
With the raging tempest overhead, “not the gun,” your audio queues are that much harder to detect.
Gunshots and explosions are swallowed by the crashing sounds of thunder and lightning mixed in with the rain.
The result? Hypervigilance. Every sense is tuned to maximum output.
You’re constantly scanning for any signs of movement, desperately listening for any noise that might indicate another raider.
It is also dark, though unlike the night raid, you have a torrential downpour as well.
The scariest part of it all? The lightning.

Lightning strikes
The game provides some warning; you’ll see a blue glow appear on the ground, followed by a crackling noise along with some electrical charges.
You have maybe two seconds to react, which seems like a lot, and it is, provided you have stamina.
Failure to avoid them punishes you hard. A loss of your entire shield and a significant portion of health along with it.
Needless to say, it leaves you vulnerable, so my advice is to conserve some stamina at all times.
Don’t think you’re safe inside a building either, any gaps or holes in the roof, and it can and will still find you. Seek full cover.
With the intense noise and hostile environment, it provides a deep and unnerving experience, which is all the more thrilling as a result.

Rewards
The rewards for surviving this challenge? Better loot.
Searching even the basic areas yields higher-grade equipment and materials than in a standard match.
Load up those free kits, learn to navigate this treacherous storm and gain that extra confidence, and you’ll soon be ready to jump in fully geared.
All you’ll need to do now is extract.
Restricted extraction points
This mode has fewer extraction points available and no raider hatches. As such, your extractions are much more likely to be contested by other raiders.
Whether you choose words or bullets as your form of diplomacy is entirely up to you. I personally choose the latter in this scenario. Shoot first and you’re more likely to survive.
