There is no shortage of talent, but whether they can gel quickly enough to justify the favourites tag remains the big question.
London Spirit (6.50)
London Spirit have quietly assembled one of the most balanced squads in the competition.
Andy Flower’s coaching expertise in T20 franchise cricket combined with proven match-winners such as Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Adam Zampa, and Jamie Overton gives them genuine title credentials.
At 6.50, they look one of the better value outright bets.

Sunrisers Leeds (7.50)
Sunrisers Leeds are built around explosive batting, with the line-up featuring Harry Brook, Mitchell Marsh, Ryan Rickelton, Zak Crawley, and Dan Lawrence.
Their aggressive batting should also be well suited to Headingley’s traditionally good batting surface.
Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, Nathan Ellis, and Brydon Carse highlight the bowling attack.
If their batting fires consistently, they should make the play-offs.

Tom Banton, Ben Duckett, Finn Allen, and Tim David give them an aggressive batting unit, while Sam Billings provides leadership and flexibility in the middle order.
The bowling attack is equally impressive, featuring Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, David Payne, and Craig Overton.
They look one of the strongest alternatives to the tournament favourites.

Manchester Super Giants (7.50)
Manchester Super Giants have a well-rounded squad.
With Jos Buttler, Heinrich Klaasen and Aidan Markram supported by Noor Ahmad and Josh Tongue, they have match-winners in every department.
Despite being overlooked in the market, Manchester look like a worthwhile outright bet at 7.50.
Southern Brave (8.00)
Southern Brave’s line-up boasts Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan, Marcus Stoinis, Tristan Stubbs, and David Miller.
They have quality across the middle order and one of the better pace attacks in the competition.
But the top order lacks the consistency of the leading contenders, making 8.00 look a little short.

Welsh Fire (8.50)
Welsh Fire are another side where batting looks strong but bowling raises concerns.
The impressive batting unit features Phil Salt, Joe Root, Jordan Cox, Rachin Ravindra, and Matthew Short.
The bowling attack has the experienced Marco Jansen, Chris Woakes, and Lockie Ferguson but lacks proven depth beyond them.
Unless the bowling exceeds expectations, Fire may struggle to compete against the stronger all-round teams.
Birmingham Phoenix (10.00)
Birmingham Phoenix boast an exciting young core led by Jacob Bethell.
Donovan Ferreira and Mitchell Owen bring plenty of power to the batting line-up, but their biggest concern lies with the bowling attack.
Apart from Saqib Mahmood and Mustafizur Rahman, the bowling lacks depth and reliability.
Yet, if the bowling clicks, Phoenix could outperform expectations.
