Sponsorship news: Horsforth Hawks Reds finish third in Winter League after four wins

The Sports News Blitz-sponsored Horsforth Hawks Reds enjoyed a strong and competitive run in the “Champions League” division of The Rounders Coach Winter League, played on Sunday evenings at Bradford Grammar School.

The Hawks Reds delivered an impressive set of performances, finishing with four wins, one loss and one draw - a record that secured them third place overall in a tightly-contested league.

One of the standout moments of the season came in a monumental victory over local derby rivals Aireborough Belters, a result that will live in the memories of the team and supporters for a very long time!

Individual brilliance also shone through, with Liz Haigh earning a joint award for the most rounders scored across the entire league - a great achievement.

The Horsforth Hawks Reds would like to extend their thanks to Sports News Blitz for their valued sponsorship and continued support, which has played an important role in another successful season for the team.

With momentum building and confidence high after Sports News Blitz renewed their sponsorship for another season, the Hawks Reds can look ahead positively to the West Yorkshire Rounders League starting in April, where they will take on Division 4 for the first time.

Sip Media Solutions Managing Director and Sports News Blitz Co Founder Simon Wilkes said: “We are delighted to renew our sponsorship of the Horsforth Hawks Reds for a second season as they prepare for life in Division 4.

“The popularity of Rounders in England is on the rise and we believe in supporting and covering grassroots sport, as well as covering elite tournaments and competitions on a global scale.”
