Rugby league betting tips: Predictions and suggested bets for Super League Round 12

Hull KR vs Wigan provides top billing this week, new league leaders St Helens travel to Castleford looking to increase the gap at the top and much more to come.

With Leeds Rhinos losing last week to Wigan Warriors and with St Helens winning at Huddersfield, the Rhinos are toppled off top spot with St Helens replacing them.

However, nothing is set in stone yet and there is still a big chunk of the season left to play.

Here, Sports News Blitz writer Elliot Ward takes a look at upcoming fixtures, highlighting the best betting angles and offering some choice tips.

Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors

Hull KR have been excellent in the last few weeks beating top teams which has seen them climb up to fourth in the league.

Wigan have also been good in the last few weeks especially last where they destroyed top of the league Leeds Rhinos with an excellent performance.

A game that could go either way, however with Wigan being as inconsistent as they have been this season, I see KR winning this one.

Suggested bet: anytime tryscorer Petr Hiku at 7/5 (Boylesports)

Leeds Rhinos vs Huddersfield Giants

The Rhinos lost last week their game against Wigan and the top spot, they will want to come back from that this week against the Giants and they have every chance to do that.

Huddersfield Giants have been poor of late and unsurprisingly sit bottom of the league with only two wins in eleven games so far.

Suggested bet: Brodie Croft anytime try scorer at 5/4 (Ladbrokes)

Leigh Leopards vs Hull FC

Leigh leopards have been amazing in this last month or so, pushing themselves out of the bottom three all the way up to seventh place, four points away from playoffs.

Hull FC lost 16-14 in a close encounter last week away at Bradford Bulls and have been incredibly inconsistent too.

Suggested bet: First tryscorer Innes Senior at 8/1 (SpreadEx)

Castleford Tigers vs St Helens

Castleford had a really good result last week much to the shock of most fans across the super league, beating York Knights 24-18 away from home.

St Helens leapfrogged Leeds Rhinos and now sit in top spot, this is thanks to their win away at Huddersfield giants I’d be surprised to not see them continue that form into this week.

Suggested bet: St Helens to win by 15+ at 7/5 (Coral)

Toulouse Olympique vs Wakefield Trinity

Toulouse have been pretty poor this season and sit second bottom and lost 24-16 last week against a good Warrington side.

Wakefield have been very good this season for their standards carrying on from last season, They beat Catalans 58-10 scoring 48 points in the second half.

Suggested bet: Half-time/Full-time Wakefield Trinity to win 1/2 (Bet365)

York Knights vs Catalans Dragons

York Knights lost last week to league strugglers Castleford Tigers, this result could really damage their confidence and now sit below Castleford Tigers in the league.

Catalans lost last week, however, they have been a decent team for the whole sitting in eighth, I do believe Catalans will have more quality to get over the line here.

Suggested bet: Catalans to win by 15+ points at 21/10 (Ladbrokes)

Warrington Wolves vs Bradford Bulls

Warrington have started the season very well sitting in third place and carried on their form beating a struggling Toulouse side last week 24-16.

Bradford also won at the weekend 16-14 at home to Hull FC a big result for confidence and momentum coming into this one, they will need all the confidence they can get to cause an upset.

Suggested bet: Warrington Wolves winning margin of 15+ points at 10/21 (Coral)
