Rugby league betting tips: Predictions and suggested bets for Super League Round 11

Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos take on title challengers Wigan Warriors in Round 11 - and there’s a Yorkshire derby between York and Castleford.

With Leeds Rhinos beating high-flying Wakefield last week and St Helens defeating York, the quality is shining through with these two teams looking like hot favourites early on.

Here, Sports News Blitz writer Elliot Ward takes a look at upcoming fixtures, highlighting the best betting angles and offering some choice tips.

Huddersfield vs St Helens

Huddersfield lost heavily 34-4 at home last week to Warrington Wolves and have not looked brilliant all season - they will struggle this week against joint top of the league St Helens.

St Helens yet again won last week 40-16 at home to York and look the opposite to Huddersfield - they have been brilliant so far and this doesn’t change this week.

Suggested bet: Anytime tryscorer at Tristan Sailor 7/4 (SpreadEX)

Wigan Warriors vs Leeds Rhinos

Wigan have been inconsistent this year but still look like challengers for the title, and hold good form in the last few weeks after a tough spell before that.

Leeds Rhinos sit at the top of the league and look like league winners, beating a tough Wakefield Trinity side last time out added to their title push.

A tough game to predict but I have to go with the Rhinos as their form is impeccable.

Suggested bet: Anytime tryscorer Brodie Croft at 13/5 (Bet365)

Wakefield Trinity vs Catalans Dragons

Wakefield have started the season well for their standards, keeping up with the leading pack - as of now they sit in a playoff position.

Catalans have had an up and down season and see themselves just outside of a playoff spot, last time out losing to Leigh which did not help their push.

Suggested bet: Oli Pratt first tryscorer at 8/1 (Bet365)

York Knights vs Castleford Tigers

Last time out York faced a very good St Helens side and lost 40-16, but that should not knock their confidence coming into this one against a very poor Castleford side.

Castleford lost again last time out, this time in the hands of Hull KR 50-6 on yet again a disappointing display for the Tigers.

Suggested bet: Halftime/Fulltime York Knights win at 2/1 (Skybet)

Toulouse Olympique vs Warrington Wolves

Toulouse have been poor this season, however a shock win came their way last time out away from home against Hull FC 12-4, there was not much quality in this one, Toulouse just found a way through.

Warrington lost out in their Challenge Cup semi-final at the weekend to Hull KR, however previously in the league they beat Huddersfield Giants 34-4 and I think they’ll continue that this week and win this one.

Suggested bet: Matty Ashton first tryscorer at 6/1 (Betfred)

Leigh Leopards vs Hull KR

Leigh have regained some form in the last few weeks - in their previous fixture they defeated Catalans away from home 33-18 a win pushing them towards a playoff spot.

Hull KR advanced to a Challenge Cup final at the weekend, beating a strong Warrington Wolves side. The week before that they demolished Castleford Tigers 50-6 - this will be the case again this week.

Suggested bet: Halftime/Fulltime Hull KR win at 1/1 (Quinnbet)

Bradford Bulls vs Hull FC

Bradford have had an okay season so far back in the Super League - they put up a decent performance scoring 14 points last week against Wigan Warriors, however they ultimately lost out.

Hull FC have been very inconsistent causing a huge worry for fans, not having much idea of where they will end up at the end of the season, and a recent dip in form is concerning.

Suggested bet: Bradford Bulls to win at 12/5 (Paddypower)
