Rounders news: Horsforth Hawks Reds soar into Division 3 after securing second place
Horsforth Hawks Reds celebrated back-to-back promotions in style on Monday night after securing an impressive 21-9.5 win over Drig Dragon Flames in their final match of the season.
The Hawks Reds have been sponsored by Sports News Blitz for the last two seasons - and they have soared from Division 5 to Division 3 since partnering with the fast-growing sports brand.

And what a way to sign off - 8 wins from 9 league matches, officially promoted into Division 3!
In the field, the Hawks meant business from the first ball.
Liz pulled off a “two-fer” on ball three, Sam launched herself in for a great running catch, and in the second innings Liv and Liz caught out batters 1 and 2 instantly!
Amy put in a heroic shift protecting the infamous Horsforth Hill - glasses and hair flying everywhere, absolutely zero regard for personal dignity, 10 out of 10 commitment 😂🙌.
Han, Steph, Rhiannon and Claire all contributed with some great throws into 2nd base to keep the Flames well under control throughout.
With the bat, the whole team fired - and special mention to Claire, who smashed two full rounders! 🌟
The drama saved itself for ball 30, when Liz AND Rhiannon both scored a full rounder on the same ball (thanks to a no ball) to cap off a brilliant batting innings.
Double trouble indeed, as both top scored on the night with 5.5 each.
