Bookies not looking past Haaland for Golden Boot
The camel coats think Erling Haaland is a done deal to land the Premier League Golden Boot in 2026/27.
The big Norwegian has won it in three of the last four years and so probably merits being as short as 4/6.
Last year he bagged 27 league goals in a campaign where, to be fair, Manchester City didn’t cover themselves in glory.
If he stays healthy and chooses not to go elsewhere in Europe, Haaland could break every goalscoring record going.
Indeed, if the argument is about the pure craft of scoring goals, Haaland has already made a case that is difficult to dismiss.
He reached 100 Premier League goals in 111 appearances, thirteen matches quicker than Alan Shearer, and his 36-goal debut season remains the highest individual tally in a Premier League campaign.
His numbers are not merely impressive; they are faintly preposterous.
At the time of writing, the Premier League records his scoring rate at 0.91 goals per 90 minutes, the best in the competition's history.
Ergo, he’s the logical choice, but 4/6 looks a bit short when you factor in his hamstrings could go in October, and that would be all she wrote.

9/1 Isak looks value
If you’re looking past Haaland, Alexander Isak is the obvious next stop.
He's not a No.9 in the classic sense - powerful with forearms the size of hams. His gift is more elusive: the glide into space, the delayed movement, the finish taken with the calmness of a man who has already seen the outcome.
Before his interrupted first season at Liverpool, Isak had scored 54 Premier League goals in 86 appearances, a return of 0.63 per game, and his Newcastle stint firmly established him as one of the division’s most accomplished finishers.
Liverpool should be better this season, and if he gets a run of games we should get a real run for our money at 9/1.
Spurs even money top six a steering job?
Best even money shot of the season? That would be Tottenham to finish in the top six (no sniggering please).
I think it’s a steering job. Trust me, you won’t get that type of return sticking cash into an ISA for nine months.
Roberto De Zerbi has been busy in the transfer market, bringing in the likes of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson from Liverpool.
Tonali and Fernandes are statement signings and give Spurs a much more technically capable midfield that should suit De Zerbi’s possession-based approach.
With the new blood - and star names returning from long-term injuries - it will be no shock at all to see Tottenham challenging the Champions League qualifying places.

Leeds 9/4 for top 10 finish
No fewer than nine Premier League clubs start the new campaign with new managers in charge.
Leeds United enter this season with something more valuable than a new boss promising revolution: continuity.
Daniel Farke remains at the helm, having already taken the club back to the Premier League and then kept it there, while the upheaval that has unsettled much of the division has passed them by.
The club has also added Harry Wilson, a prodigious baller who was excellent for Fulham last season.
Farke will supply the pragmatism from the touchline, and Leeds can build on their 14th-place finish last season. I’m convinced Newcastle United are going to struggle this year - and many other clubs are in transition, so 9/4 about Leeds finishing in the top 10 looks a punt.
