Premier League betting tips: Man City to beat Chelsea, Marcus Tavernier to score against Arsenal, and more Gameweek 32 betting tips
Okay, so on reflection, napping Port Vale at 34/1 in the FA Cup last weekend was not my finest hour as a tipster. Indeed, any more howlers like that and I will have to retire from the psychic arts effective immediately.
But as my old PE teacher used to say, “If your ship doesn't come in, swim out to meet it.” His advice ultimately got me a lifetime ban from P&O Ferries, but it’s advice I’ll not forget.
Read on for a breakdown of the best bets from this weekend’s Premier League TV games from Sports News Blitz’s punting laureate - The Bookie Basher - including the cracker between Chelsea and Manchester City on Sunday, April 12.
West Ham vs Wolves
Big game down at the bottom on Friday night. Wolves look cooked, but ze Hammers are scrapping for their lives still and have lost only one of their last six home Premier League games.
That said, Wolves’ recent form has been much improved (two wins, two draws and just one defeat from their last five matches), and my spider senses are tingling for a draw here.
None of the last 16 Premier League meetings between West Ham and Wolves have been drawn, so they are due one, and 14/5 is a price that should not stink in the nostrils of most right-minded people.
Suggested bet: Draw at 14/5 (Bet MGM)
Arsenal vs Bournemouth
Certain sections of the media are alluding that Arsenal are wobbling after back-to-back cup defeats, but they have won each of their last four Premier League games and are looking to win five on the spin for the third time this season.
They can move another step closer to that elusive Premier League title by blasting past the Cherries here.
Bournemouth are no mugs and are unbeaten in their last 11 league matches. However, they have drawn seven of those and might not be able to handle Arsenal’s swagger and intensity in north London.
That said, one bet I do l like the look of here is Marcus Tavernier to score or assist at 100/30.
He has 10 goal contributions (six goals, four assists) in 28 Premier League appearances in 2025/26 and is the type of player who rises to the occasion on this kind of stage
Suggested bet: Tavernier to score or assist at 100/30 (bet365)

Liverpool vs Fulham
Wednesday's Champions League loss to PSG was Liverpool's 16th defeat of the season, and the die looks cast now for Arne Slot, who surely doesn’t survive at Anfield beyond this summer.
The Reds were pathetic last Saturday against Manchester City. Genuinely clueless, like a dog trying to play chess.
And in Paris, they were second best by some distance against the European champions, who enjoyed 74% possession on Wednesday, April 8, despite Slot's team setting up in survival mode and playing five at the back.
Confidence looks at an all-time low, and anyone thinking of lumping on Liverpool at 8/13 to beat Fulham really needs to find a new hobby.
The Cottagers have scored 13 goals in seven Premier League games against Liverpool since their return to the division in 2022, and with that return leg against PSG taking place next week, don’t be shocked if Slot rotates here.
I’m not feeling ballsy enough to tip Fulham for the straight win, but 5/4 on the ‘Double Chance’ coupon looks tasty (you are essentially getting 5/4 on Marco Silva's men not to lose).
Suggested bet: Fulham - Draw (Double Chance) at 5/4 (sky bet)
Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur
Such a big game for Spurs this, who are hovering just above the relegation zone and are desperately in need of points.
They are still chasing their first league win of 2026, which is mental given Easter has been and gone!
This will also be Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge, and it’s a tough debut given the fact that the Black Cats’ home form is strong, and they will be bullish coming off that big derby win against Newcastle.
All things considered, we cannot turn our noses up at 17/10 about the home win here, can we, given how shaky Tottenham have looked since the turn of the year?
Suggested Bet: Sunderland to win at 17/10 (bet365)

Chelsea vs Manchester City
Chelsea are winless in their last nine Premier League games against the Cityzens, so 6/5 about the away win here makes plenty of appeal.
Erling Haaland's hat-trick grabbed the headlines last weekend in the FA Cup, but if the rumours are right and Bernardo Silva is going to leave the Etihad this season, then he will be a huge miss for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Portuguese star ran the show against Liverpool in the FA Cup, helping Pep’s mob to overwhelm the Reds in the middle of the park.
In 30 Premier League matches this season, he has laid on four assists and scored twice, but even that doesn’t tell the whole story as the work he gets through in that midfield is something else.
Chelsea’s recent league form has been awful, and this feels an easy pick because trusting Guardiola’s system is far safer than trusting Chelsea’s finishing at the time of writing.
Suggested bet: Manchester City to win at 6/5 (Betfred)
