Premier League betting tips: Liverpool to beat woeful Spurs, Erling Haaland to score and more Gameweek 30 betting tips

Now then, now then, how are we getting on? Traumatic day on Tuesday for yours truly. A German tourist jumped into a freezing lake to save my precious little chihuahua, who was drowning.

After he climbed out, he handed me the pooch and said, “Here is ze dog. Keep him warm and dry him off and he vill be fine.”

“Are you a vet?” I asked gratefully. He replied, “Vet? I’m f***ing soaking.”

Read on for a breakdown of the best bets from this weekend’s Premier League TV games from Sports News Blitz’s punting laureate - The Bookie Basher - including the Sunday, March 15, clash between Liverpool and Tottenham.

Arsenal vs Everton

The Cityzens have blinked first in the title race, and as a result, Arsenal are heavy odds to win a first Premier League title in what feels like forever. This could be cagey, however, as Everton are nobody’s fools.

A big key to Everton’s excellent away form has been their defensive solidity. Only Arsenal themselves (13) have conceded fewer away Premier League goals than the Toffees’ 14 in the 2025/26 campaign.

Indeed, since David Moyes’ first away game back in charge, no team have won more Premier League away games than their 12.

Arsenal are obvious favourites here, but circa 4/11 feels a bit short, and there’s no reason for the Toffees not to feel confident travelling anywhere right now.

Under 2.5 goals has a whiff of sensible uncle about it, so let’s go there.

Suggested bet: Under 2.5 goals at evens (Bet MGM)

West Ham vs Manchester City

Manchester City now face a huge task to keep their Champions League hopes alive after suffering that heavy 3-0 first-leg defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday, March 11.

They are out to 9/2 to win the league, also so much to ponder for Pep Guardiola.

This 8pm Saturday, March 14 kick-off has classic “someone somewhere has this as the last leg of a £12 accumulator paying £9,700” energy about it.

The Hammers are scrapping down at the bottom but have never beaten Manchester City at the London Stadium in the Premier League in nine attempts.

In fact, Pep's mob are unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League games against West Ham.

Erling Haaland, with 22 goals and seven assists in 27 league games this season, has the most goal involvements in the league. He also leads the league in shots (98) and touches in the opposition box.

Haaland anytime scorer (4/5) is the betting industry’s version of paying rent, but 3/1 that he scores first here looks worth a go.

Suggested bet: Haaland to score first at 3/1 (Bet Victor/ betway/skybet)

Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Tough gig this for the Aston Villa, who have fallen away a bit in recent weeks (picking up just one point from their last three Premier League games).

The loss of key players has nigh on dismantled the old "engine room" of Unai Emery's side, impacting both defensive stability and attacking fluidity.

The Red Devils have found some consistency with Carrick at the wheel. Having lost three of their first six Premier League games this season (W2 D1), Yanited have since lost just three of their last 23 (W13 D7).

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes has 14 assists, which is the most in the league. The irascible Portuguese baller also leads the league with 76 key passes, meaning most chances created.

3/1 to register an assist, you say? Hold my beer.

Suggested bet: Fernandes over 0.5 assists at 3/1 (Boylesports)

Liverpool vs Tottenham

What the f**k is happening at Spurs? The team is playing like they’ve all just met in a car park.

The stats are mad, bruv. They have conceded at least two goals in 10 straight league matches for the first time in their history. Since Igor Tudor's appointment, Spurs are bottom of the league in terms of goals conceded, goal difference, xG conceded, xG difference and points. They are as short as 6/4 to be relegated, and while Tudor is to carry on at the helm for this one, his future looks in doubt beyond Sunday’s Anfield showdown.

Arne Slot was faultless as Liverpool won the league last season, but this year, he’s all tea and no toast. Surely he can get them over the line against a woeful Spurs, though?

My big take is that Liverpool are printing money here. If this were a horse race, the Reds would be 1/5 on and win hard held by 10 lampposts.

This is historically a high-scoring fixture, and given that statistically the Reds score around 2.2 goals a game vs Spurs at Anfield, then punting Liverpool and both teams to score stinks of a win.

Suggested bet: Liverpool to win & both teams to score at 13/8 (Ladbrokes/ skybet)
