Premier League betting tips: Leeds to shock, Mohamed Salah to score against Chelsea, and more
Before we get down to some elite Premier League Bookie Bashing, can I just say that Lewis Cope is an absolute smash job at 7/2 to win Strictly Come Dancing this year.
He’s the best dancer in Hartlepool (I know this because I’m the third best) but he’s a genuinely nice lad as well and I guess it doesn’t hurt that he looks like a model. 7/2 is my early Christmas gift to you (I've had the lot on).
Read on for a breakdown of the best bets from the Premier League's TV games from Sports News Blitz’s punting laureate, the Bookie Basher, including Liverpool’s crunch clash with Chelsea.
Bournemouth vs Fulham
The Cherries have lost just two of their last 16 league meetings with Fulham and look worthy favourites here in Friday night’s game.
Bournemouth are sixth and averaging 1.33 goals a game, while Fulham are conceding 1.33 goals a game on average. If you fancy the home win, the maths is mathing.
Andoni Iraola’s men are still unbeaten in front of their own fans this season, and with Antoine Semenyo up front this reeks of a home win.
Suggested Bet: Bournemouth to win and under 4.5 goals at 6/5 (betway / Coral / Ladbrokes / skybet)

Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur
October is of course National Sausage Month. Did you hear about the pessimist who hated sausages?
He constantly feared the wurst.
Tottenham have won each of their last two league visits to Elland Road, but were second best for long spells against Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt in the week and I quite fancy Leeds to spring a shock here.
Sean Longstaff was exceptional in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth and if he’s in the same kind of mood this weekend it could spell bad news for the men from North London.
It’s a bit of a leap of faith this bet given the Peacocks are averaging just a goal a game so far, but with no midweek fixture they should be refreshed and bang up for Saturday’s early kick-off.
Suggested Bet: Leeds United to win at 7/4 (General)
Chelsea vs Liverpool
Arne Slot has hardly put a foot wrong as Liverpool boss but hit the first real bumps in the road in the last seven days with the Reds suffering back-to-back defeats. Huge game this now against Chelsea, who could put themselves right back in the title mix with a win at the Bridge.
The Reds are top, but Arsenal are the new title favourites with the bookies after that last-gasp win at Newcastle last Sunday.
I won’t lie. Tough game to call this, with both sides looking pretty inconsistent so far. Liverpool are actually winless in their last four Premier League games at Stamford Bridge, but start as 13/10 favourites here in the WDW market.
Also, I reckon we need to talk about Florian Wirtz. He has not looked like a £116m player to this point and needs to adjust to Premier League life sharpish you feel, or he could end up as this season’s Anthony.
Mo Salah was benched for their trip to Galatasaray, but the Egyptian king surely starts in West London where Liverpool will try to keep clear daylight between themselves and the chasing pack with a win.
Salah’s Premier League stats are off the map. 188 goals in 307 games. Left peg is a wand. And I don’t hate the 11/2 here scores first in this one.
Suggested Bet: Salah to score first at 11/2 (bet365 / Coral / Ladbrokes)

Newcastle United vs Nottingham Forest
Both teams have managed just one win in six games so far, but the Mags have been solid at the back to be fair (four Premier League clean sheets).
To be honest I wasn’t sure why people - including Karl-Heinz Rummenigge - were taking the p**s out of Newcastle for signing Nick Woltemade? The kid looks saucier than a direct hit on a Heinz factory. Three goals in four starts for Big Nick, and Eddie Howe could do with him turning it on against Nottingham Forest here.
And despite the fact that the path of my life is strewn with cowpats from the devil's own satanic herd, we are due a Bet Builder win. So don’t miss this…
Suggested Bet: Newcastle to win / Bruno 3+ tackles / Woltemade to score at 6/1 (bet365)
Brentford vs Manchester City
Decent test for Man City this. Brentford are no mugs at home, having won four of their last six Premier League home games.
Goal machine Erling Haaland continued his outlandish scoring form by scoring both of City's goals in Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Monaco.
However, Pep Guardiola must be - privately at least - concerned about the late goals conceded by his side. It’s becoming a bit of a worrying trend but my hunch is they get the job done in London in fairly routine fashion.
Suggested Bet: Manchester City to win 2-0 at 9/1 (bet365)
