San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams
It's been a strange start to the 2025 regular season for running back Christian McCaffrey. He's struggled with his rushing game, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry.
But through the air, he’s morphing into San Fran’s secret weapon - defences are learning the hard way that McCaffrey can kill you without a handoff.
He will have to bring his A-game this week, as San Fran is facing off against one of the league's best defences in the Rams.
Even with McCaffrey at full throttle, don't expect fireworks. Both sides have defended well through the opening four, and I predict a cagey affair on Thursday night.

Hurts still hasn’t thrown a pick all season, and I’ve heard defenders are starting to wonder if his passes come with cloaking devices.
He may not go to the air as often as Philly fans would like, but no one can deny that his output is a primary driver for the team's success through the opening stanza of the season.
I can’t bet against the Eagles this season this week. They keep finding ways to win games, and I'm now fully aboard the Philadelphia ship.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars

However, even with their new shimmer of hope. The Jaguars will not make things easy for Kansas this week.
Their defence is the sole reason the Jacksonville side is currently sitting at 3-1. They rank first in opponent EPA per play, and with Kansas City still not at their best, I doubt they will be able to get past their opponents on Sunday.
KC might edge it, but don’t expect a shootout; this one screams grind-it-out, low-scoring football.
