Premier League betting tips: Brighton to beat Man Utd, Jack Grealish to keep shining at Everton, and more

Alright? How are we getting on?

Tough week for me personally. In fact, I’ve just had a text from my missus saying, “We need a chat this weekend about your immature behaviour.”

As if that’s going to happen during conker season.

Read on for a breakdown of the best bets from the Premier League's TV games from Sports News Blitz’s punting laureate - The Bookie Basher - including a huge game for Liverpool against Brentford.

Leeds United vs West Ham United

Huge game down at the bottom.

Leeds are winless in their last four league games against the Hammers at Elland Road. They’ve also lost their last two and were absolutely pony against Burnley by all accounts.

However, I could not believe how s**te West Ham were against Brentford on Monday night. They lost 2-0, but it could easily have been 5-0 - one shot on target. Just seven shots in total and finished with an xG match rating of 0.33. Honking.

They are heading towards relegation because the fan base is so disconnected from the club, having endured years of questionable decisions from the boardroom. I’m getting pure Newcastle United 2009 vibes.

Suggested bet: Leeds United to win and Under 4.5 goals at 23/20 (betway / Coral / Ladbrokes)

Manchester United vs Brighton

The Red Devils scored a massive win at Anfield last Sunday, and to my fiscal cos,t it was one I didn’t see coming. Full disclosure, I’ve been eating Mini Kiev’s all week.

Not sure what shocked me the most, to be honest. United winning at Anfield for the first time in a decade, or Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Kenny Dalglish sharing a bag of Chocolate Buttons at half-time (mind-blowing stuff).

Manchester United’s home form has actually been OK - three wins and one loss.

However, Brighton are decent. And these are just the type of fixtures in which Man United imploded last season. It’s the hope that kills you, ya see.

12/5 about an away win, and more pressure piled on the beleaguered boss? Get it right up, you Amorim! You, inoffensive chinos and white sneakers, wearing sexy bearded b**tard!

Suggested bet: Brighton to win at 16/5 (Coral / Ladbrokes)

Brentford vs Liverpool

The Reds are back in London for a rare Saturday evening game. London, a place where my old Nana was fond of saying, “the buses are red, the sky is grey, and your rent is 90% of your wages.”

There’s a line from The Dark Knight that says, “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain,” and Mo Salah might be able to relate to this right now.

Dropped midweek after Liverpool lost four on the bounce, the Reds then went goal crazy in Germany.

Surely Arne Slot must keep the same team that hammered Frankfurt, which would mean no place for the Egyptian King?

It was a night of bold calls in Germany, with Slot benching Salah and tinkering with the formation too.

To be fair, they were brilliant for the most part, and with British record signing Alexander Isak picking up a groin strain, 5/1 about Huge Ekitike bagging first here against Brentford looks plenty decent.

Suggested bet: Ekitike to score first at 5/1 (bet365)

Aston Villa vs Manchester City

Since that crazy 5-1 defeat at Arsenal in February, Manchester City have actually kept more clean sheets in the Premier League than any other side (12), and backing them to win without conceding might be the shout here despite the fact that Aston Villa have won three in a row.

It feels like Man City are being slightly overlooked in the title race despite having claimed more points in the Premier League than any other side since the start of April - 39 games, 12 wins, three draws, and two losses.

Arsenal may be all the rage in the title betting, but a reminder for the lazy: Pep Guardiola has won six Premier League titles.

Suggested bet: Manchester City to win to nil at 27/10 (Bet Victor)

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur

Tough gig for Spurs this. Everton have lost just one of their last 13 Premier League home matches, and that was against Manchester City back in April.

Don’t sleep on Jack Grealish either. Despite having hair like unlikable 1990s hardman actor Steven Seagal, Grealish is a national treasure and we must protect him at all costs.

David Moyes is getting a tune out of the voluptuous Brummie baller on Merseyside, and if he’s in the mood, he could terror Tottenham here.

Four assists and one goal so far after just seven Premier League games. A first-ever Premier League Player of the Month in the bag.

Calves like Rasputin. What’s not to f***ing like?

To paraphrase the late, great Sid Waddell: "When Alexander of Macedonia was 33, he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer...Grealish is only 30."

Suggested bet: Grealish over 0.5 assists at 4/1 (betway)
