Padel news: Padel Alba to open industry’s first court-manufacturing factory with indoor padel club

Padel Alba, one of the UK’s leading court suppliers, has invested €750,000 to create the industry’s first manufacturing facility with its own onsite premium padel club.

The Alicante-based business will officially open a new larger factory next month to incorporate a plant which will enable it to potentially triple production from the current 10 courts a week to meet growing demand.

The facility will include the addition of two welding robots on an automated production line as well as the installation of four built-in cranes.

The high-end padel club, which will feature four courts, will act as the company’s showroom.

The club has two full-panoramic courts with halo-style perimeter lighting and two panoramic courts with post lighting plus acoustic curtains on every wall to cut down noise.

It will be open to the public and is expected to be one of the most exclusive clubs in the Valencia region.

Showcasing the process

“I’ve wanted to build this for years. I wanted clients to see exactly how a court is made, not just get the finished product,” said Ray Brinkmanis, co-founder of Padel Alba.

“We’re scaling up the number of courts we can produce from 10 and we have the space to increase production to 30 courts per week.

“Customers can come to the factory and see the process and then immediately go on one of our courts, see the quality, and also play on it.

“Anyone can say they have high standards – few are willing to let people watch the whole process.”

He added: “The idea is people can see and feel the difference between the styles of court and the lighting.

“In time, we’ll be looking to add padel technology to enhance the experience.

“The padel club will be a high-quality venue and while it will be available to hire, the aim is to maintain the premium feel to it.”

Padel Alba’s growth

Brinkmanis co-founded Padel Alba with Gentjan Querasaj five years ago.

He runs administration and sales, while Querasaj manages the technical side, covering manufacturing and installations.

Padel Alba currently supplies courts to a number of countries around the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and across Europe.

In the UK, Padel Alba has supplied courts to fit out the country’s largest venue, Carbon Padel in Manchester, as well as recent projects with Padel Republic, Optimum Padel, The Padel Hub, Destino Padel, Padel Warehouse 52, Soul Padel, and That Padel Club.

Padel Alba will officially open its new facility on Friday, November 13, with an event attended by VIPs, padel industry figures, and media.

The event will also feature an exhibition match on the new courts.
