NFL Week 6 predictions: Josh Allen to dominate, Seahawks to outscore Broncos, Jordan Love to dazzle

Week six of the NFL season is almost upon us, and all eyes will be on one match-up, the Seattle Seahawks versus the Denver Broncos.

The two Super Bowl contenders will face in a crucial Thursday night game. By the end, one will be 4-2, and the other 3-3.

On Sunday, British fans will be treated to one more London game as the Houston Texans look to turn their season around against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.

The Las Vegas Raiders will look to get back on track after losing their last two games. They’ll have to get past Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to do so.

And the Green Bay Packers host the Dallas Cowboys in one of the NFL’s great cross-division rivalries.

Here, Sports News Blitz’s Josiah Burdsall makes his predictions for four big games this week.

Seattle Seahawks (3-2) vs Denver Broncos (3-2)

Last season, the Broncos and Seahawks had the best records in their conference. This was nearly the Super Bowl LX match-up.

This season, both teams have been good, but not up to the standard they set in 2025.

Without running back Zach Charbonnet, the Seahawks offense has looked one-dimensional.

Against the 49ers, they turned the ball over four times.

Meanwhile the Broncos are 26th in the NFL for points scored per game. They’ve struggled so much that Sean Payton had to take over playcalling from his offensive coordinator.

Despite this, both teams have winning records, and plenty to be excited about.

The Seahawks had four turnovers and couldn’t establish the run against the 49ers, and still scored 29 points. Their defense is first in the league for yards allowed.

Denver has already pulled off three fourth quarter comebacks this season, and their defense has been solid.

This game will likely come down to which offense can perform the best, and since Seattle won’t have to face Pat Surtain, it should be them.

Prediction: Seahawks win

Houston Texans (1-4) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1)

This season’s final game in London will once again feature the Jaguars - and the records suggest this should be an easy Jaguars win.

Despite the four losses, though, the Texans have a point differential of -2, implying they have been more competitive than their record indicates.

Houston’s next games are winnable, they will face the Giants, Chargers, Browns, and Colts in the coming weeks.

Texans fans will hope this game helps springboard a run of wins to turn round their season.

Jacksonville are top 10 in the league for expected points on both sides of the ball.

On top of that, they get to stay in London from last week whilst their opponents travel across six different time zones.

Prediction: Jaguars win

Buffalo Bills (4-1) vs Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)

At the start of this season, few had this game circled as an important match-up. But the Raiders have made a surprisingly strong start to this season.

Undefeated through three weeks, Las Vegas have dropped their last two matches.

Their defense had looked good until those last two weeks, where they let up 30 points to the Chiefs, and 45 to the Patriots.

On the other hand, Buffalo are coming off their biggest win yet, a thrilling 37-34 triumph against the Rams. That was also Josh Allen’s first career overtime win.

The difference between the Bills offense and defense is staggering. On average, they are scoring just under 33 points per game, and letting up over 28.

With both defenses struggling, this game has the potential to be a shootout.

Prediction: Bills win

Dallas Cowboys (2-3) vs Green Bay Packers (3-2)

Just over a year ago, these two played out the NFL’s first ever 40-40 tie on Sunday Night football.

After a poor start to the year, Green Bay picked up a huge win over the Chicago Bears which might have revived their season.

Dallas had the opposite experience in week 5, a deflating loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It has been confirmed that Micah Parsons won’t return to play his former team this week. The Packers defense is therefore still likely to struggle.

Thankfully for the Packers, Dallas’s defense also looks awful. They are allowing 25 points per game, and are 31st in the NFL for yards allowed.

After throwing for 367 yards against the Bears, Jordan Love will fancy his chances of having another great game against a poor Cowboys defence.

Prediction: Packers win

NFL Week 6 accumulator

Seattle Seahawks beat Denver Broncos

Jacksonville Jaguars beat Houston Texans

Buffalo Bills beat Las Vegas Raiders

Green Bay Packers beat Dallas Cowboys

Week 5 review

Last week I went 2-2, successfully predicting the Jaguars to beat the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers to beat the Seahawks.

Thank goodness for Cam Little. If not for his 57-yard field goal against Philadelphia, I would’ve gone 1-3!

I was way off in predicting the Chicago Bears to beat the Packers, instead Green Bay had a commanding victory.

But I’ll give myself half points for the Los Angeles Rams vs Bills game. Though I did predict the Rams to win, I did successfully predict it to be high-scoring.

Not my strongest start, but I’m sure this week I’ll be perfect!
