NFL betting tips: Philadelphia Eagles to bounce back, Jaxson Dart to continue run of form, and more
Gameweek seven of the 2025 NFL season wasn't without its surprises.
The Philadelphia Eagles have suffered yet another defeat, and the Super Bowl champions are not looking as dangerous as we may have first thought.
Elsewhere, the Detroit Lions will be hoping to knock Tampa Bay off their perch, with the Buccaneers currently sitting comfortably as the top seed in the NFC.
Here, Sports News Blitz’s Sam Condy breaks down three of the best picks ahead of this week's action.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings
The Eagles are experiencing a slight hiccup lately. After starting the season 4-0, they have now faced back-to-back defeats, and they will need to figure out the problem soon if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive.
However, the Vikings have issues of their own; they are yet to solve the QB issue, as JJ McCarthy still looks off the NFL pace.
The problems in Minnesota don't end there. Defensively, the Vikings have been spotty, allowing 4.5 yards per carry and ranking 25th in opponent rush EPA this season.
If Philly can re-establish their rushing dominance, this could prove to be the perfect week for them to get back to winning ways.
Suggested bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5) @ 1/1 with AK Bets

New York Giants vs Denver Broncos
All eyes are on Jaxson Dart as he continues to make a push for Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Giants QB has shown consistency, scoring twice in his opening three starts.
The Broncos will act as a stern test for the 22-year-old and will likely force Dart to scramble. If he can perform this week, the Giants may have found a diamond in the rough.
I'm backing him to pull through and get his name on the scoresheet.
Suggested bet: Jaxson Dart (Anytime Scorer) @ 4/1 with BetFred
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions
Once again, this feels like a post-season preview. The Bucs are currently sitting as the top seed in the NFC and will be hoping to move to 6-1 with a win over their Detroit adversaries on Tuesday.
However, they may be weaker than the numbers first suggest, and Detroit will try to capitalise.
They rank 13th in DVOA and 11th in Net Yards per play, suggesting that they are maybe not the world beaters they look to be at first glance.
The problems don't stop here; The Lions rank fifth in dropback EPA and second in dropback success rate, while Tampa Bay sit 21st and 27th in opponent success rate for the above metrics.
I think the Lions will bounce back from last week’s loss to the Chiefs and pick up a hard-fought W at home.
Suggested bet: Detroit Lions (-4.5) @ 5/4 with Ladbrokes
