NFL betting tips: Kansas City to thrive, Minnesota Vikings prepare ready for war

It's hitting crunch time for the Kansas City Chiefs as Patrick Mahomes’ outfit is in desperate need of a home win this week.

They currently sit at 5-5 this season, and they can’t continue to drop points if they want to keep their post-season redemption hopes alive.

Elsewhere, the Minnesota Vikings are in need of a miracle against the Green Bay Packers; their season has continued to snowball out of control.

Here, Sports News Blitz’s Sam Condy has picked out seven of his favourite bets ahead of NFL gameweek 12.

Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have been devastating at home this season. Other than a loss to the Eagles in week two, they have remained undefeated at Arrowhead Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league this season, yet the rest of Kansas City has been unable to capitalise.

He likes to spread the ball around, and with Indianapolis allowing 235.3 passing yards per game this season, Mahomes should be free to run rampant in Kansas this week.

Every game is of extreme importance from this point onwards if the Chiefs are to salvage their turbulent season. I back them to get the ball rolling again this week in Texas.

Suggested bet: Kansas City Chiefs (-5.5) @ 5/4 with Bet365

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers

It's been a hot-or-miss season for Jordan Love at Green Bay this year.

The quarterback has had a few season-defining performances, yet they are scattered between a season of mediocrity.

Love only managed to find the target on 13 of his 24 passing attempts in his last outing against the New York Giants, throwing for just 174 yards as they scraped past the dismal New York Giants.

Minnesota have admittedly been extremely poor this year, but they have managed to keep a majority of their games close on the scoreboards.

Once again, the Vikings should keep their opponents from running up the count.

Suggested bet: Minnesota Vikings (+6.5) @ 13/20 with Coral

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys

This is a strange one. On paper, the Eagles should be the far superior team, yet for whatever reason, the bookmakers are predicting a closely-contested clash.

Despite some promising form from the Eagles, talisman Jalen Hurts continues to come under fire.

Their last two wins have both been decided in low-scoring games, and Hurts has now been held under 200 passing yards in three straight appearances.

However, Dallas have allowed 381 yards per game on average this season - 249.9 being airborne - so the Philadelphia QB might find a return to form in Texas.

Philly are 7-3 against the spread this season, and with the betting margins so close this week, I’m backing them to get the job done once again.

Suggested bet: Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) @ 11/10 with AK Bets
