NFL betting tips: James Cook to bulldoze the Miami Dolphins, why Eagles vs Packers is a must-watch

Shock horror, Jaxson Dart rushed to the endzone yet again in the last gameweek. At this point, it’s starting to feel like a surefire banker for the youngster to find himself on the scoresheet.

However, we will be looking elsewhere in Week 10, as the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers butt heads in what promises to be an electric affair.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Detroit will be hoping to avoid back-to-back defeats as they travel to a dismal Washington Commanders side.

Here, Sports News Blitz’s Sam Condy breaks down three of his favourite picks ahead of another week of gridiron action.

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins

The Buffalo Bills will be hoping to add a third consecutive win to their record, and with the Miami Dolphins struggling to recuperate, falling to 2-7, a trip to Florida looks like the perfect opportunity for Buffalo to build on their momentum.

James Cook ranks second in the NFL with rushing yards this season, boasting an impressive 867, and paired with the equally masterful Josh Allen, the Bills have been a pleasure to watch this season when on the front foot.

Cook cemented himself as one of the best rushers in the league, and with Miami allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game of any team this season, he should be able to blow open the back door in Miami.

Suggested bet: Anytime Touchdown Scorer (James Cook) @ 5/8 with Bet365

Detroit Lions vs Washington Commanders

The Detroit Lions haven’t lost two in a row since weeks 7 and 8 of the 2022 regular season, and they will be hoping that a feeble Commanders side won't be able to reset this statistic.

The Washington Commanders have now lost four in a row, and following a respectable start to the season, their playoff hopes are quickly fading.

They will need to cook up something special if they want to get back on track this week. Despite the Lions' ugly loss to the Minnesota Vikings last week, they are still a dangerous side, and their stutter might only add fuel to the fire.

Both teams are struggling with injuries: Washington without their starting QB, and Detroit down two offensive tackles.

However, a weaker Detroit beats a weakened Washington, so I’m backing the Lions to hold their own in Washington.

Suggested bet: Detroit Lions (-6.5) @ 4/6 with Boyle Sports

Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles are arguably the NFC’s two top dogs, and this may well serve as a preview to the NFC championships.

While the Eagles have suddenly faltered on the ground, Jalen Hurts has stepped up to take their offence into the air. And he's doing a stellar job.

Hurts has thrown for 280+ yards in three of Philly’s last four, and his aerial mastery has shown a new diversity to the Super Bowl champions' offensive unit.

Equally, the Packers are nothing to be snuffed at. They rank third in EPA per play, third in success rate, and sixth in offensive DVOA.

Both teams are far better on the front foot than they are on the back, as a result, I expect both teams to find the endzone at will on Monday night.

Suggested bet: Total Points (over 47.5) @ 9/10 with Paddy Power
