Elsewhere, the Kansas City Chiefs must be desperate to put this season behind them – their injury-stricken outfit heads to Minnesota to take on an equally dreadful Vikings side on Boxing Day.
Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to the Miami Dolphins as they look to rescue a season which has quickly spun out of control.

Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings
The Lions’ playoff dreams are hanging on by a thread – they must win against the Vikings if they want to give themselves a shot at the postseason.
Detroit have struggled away from home all season long and the Vikings are a top defensive side, so it will be far from an easy night for the injury-stricken outfit.
However, Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy is out with a hand fracture, which will give the Detroit side some much-needed confidence.
It will be a hard-fought battle, but ultimately, the Lions should keep themselves in the playoff race.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos
We head to Boxing Day now as a defunct Kansas City side travels to Denver.
It’s been a disastrous season for the former dynasty and the Chiefs’ season looks to be a wrap.
The Broncos, on the other hand, are still in contention for the number one seed, and a win would do wonders to propel them in the right direction.
Their loss last week is a concern, though, and their defensive numbers have been slipping, but I doubt the Kansas outfit will pose much trouble.
The Chiefs have by all accounts packed things in for 2025 and their dire quarterback situation only continues to make things worse.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Miami Dolphins
The wheels have fallen off in Tampa.
After a fantastic start to the season, the Bucs have seemingly fallen to pieces and need a win to stop the NFC South race slipping from their grasp.
However, the Dolphins will be no easy task.
While the Bucs are defensively solid, they struggle to get points up on the board, and with the Dolphins’ strong record at home, it won’t be an easy task on the 28th.
I’ve got the Dolphins holding on at home, continuing a dismal few weeks for Tampa Bay.
