Cricket news: England men’s fixtures for 2025

The England men’s cricket team is set for a blockbuster year, with an exciting five-Test home series against India and the much-anticipated Ashes in Australia the undisputed highlights.

In addition, the Three Lions – now coached across all three formats by Brendon McCullum – will play host to the West Indies and South Africa for a couple of white-ball series as well as travel across the pond to Ireland for three T20 matches.

After what has been a disappointing few years, England are looking to turn things around by getting off to a good start in the new World Test Championship cycle and building some momentum ahead of the T20 World Cup in 2026 and the ODI World Cup in 2027.

Harry Brook is all set to captain the limited-overs sides after Jos Buttler relinquished the role in the wake of a dismal Champions Trophy campaign, while the evergreen Ben Stokes continues to lead the red-ball side.

Here, Sports News Blitz writer Michael Davey gives a handy rundown on the Three Lions’ fixtures for 2025.
