Cricket betting tips: Best bets for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots vs Saint Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Kingsmen

The Caribbean Premier League continues this week with two key fixtures as St Kitts & Nevis Patriots take on Saint Lucia Kings before Guyana Amazon Warriors face Jamaica Kingsmen.

Here, Sports News Blitz cricket betting expert Himanshu Sharma breaks down the best bets, value plays and key betting angles ahead of this week’s CPL action.

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots vs Saint Lucia Kings

Date and time: Friday, September 4, 00:00 BST

Venue: Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have given themselves a chance of reaching the playoffs after a stunning six-wicket win over Barbados Tridents in their previous match.

However, the Patriots have little room for error with three games remaining as they face a Saint Lucia Kings side that sits third in the table after four wins from seven matches.

Kings also arrive with plenty of momentum after beating Trinbago Knight Riders by 36 runs last time out, with Matthew Forde their standout bowler with 13 wickets this season.

Patriots are priced as the underdogs at 2.05, despite their recent victory and home advantage, making them the more interesting betting option compared with Saint Lucia Kings at 1.75

Warner Park has produced plenty of runs this season, with the average first-innings score standing at 183. A first-innings total of 180+ is a strong option at a venue that has consistently favoured the batters in this CPL.

Patriots showed in their win over Tridents that they have the firepower to take advantage of those conditions, with Johnson Charles, Kyle Mayers, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga and Jason Holder all capable of making a significant contribution.

Saint Lucia Kings have the stronger record, but Patriots have already beaten them earlier in the tournament and can repeat that result on home soil.

Johnson Charles looks a strong candidate to be St Kitts & Nevis Patriots' top batter. His aggressive approach makes him particularly well suited to Warner Park, where boundaries have been plentiful.

Best bets

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots to win

Johnson Charles to be Patriots' top batter

First-innings total of 180+

Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Jamaica Kingsmen

Date & time: Friday, September 4, 20:00 BST

Venue: Providence Stadium, Guyana

Guyana Amazon Warriors are sitting second in the CPL table after four wins and head into this clash with plenty of confidence.

Jamaica Kingsmen have also enjoyed a strong campaign and sit fourth with four wins and four defeats.

Guyana are understandably strong favourites at 1.50 against Jamaica Kingsmen, who are available at 2.55

They have already demonstrated their ability to score quickly at Providence Stadium, while their bowling attack can exploit a surface where the average first-innings score is only 153.

The presence of Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Glenn Phillips and Mohammad Nabi gives Guyana plenty of depth, while Shamar Joseph and Dwaine Pretorius provide wicket-taking options with the ball.

Jamaica have been competitive throughout the tournament, but Guyana's batting depth should give them the edge.

Back Shimron Hetmyer to be Guyana's top batter. He is coming off an extraordinary 111 from 43 balls, including nine sixes, and has scored 186 runs in four innings.

Providence Stadium generally produces lower totals than Warner Park, but Guyana's batting unit has shown it can outperform the venue's historical numbers, and they can post a total in excess of 160 batting first.

Best bets

Guyana Amazon Warriors to win

Shimron Hetmyer to be Guyana's top batter

Guyana Amazon Warriors 160+ team total
