Bundesliga news: A look back at Harry Kane's two seasons with Bayern Munich
It has been two years since England striker Harry Kane arrived at Bayern Munich, and the former Tottenham marksman has done nothing but deliver for the German giants since.
Indeed, the numbers speak for themselves, with Kane continuing to impress as one of the best forwards in Europe.
Sports News Blitz writer Annika Böttcher looks back on the Englishman’s time in Munich so far and the incredible stats he’s put up along the way.
Goals
Kane finished the recently concluded Bundesliga season just as he started it: scoring goals and setting standards.
His 26th of the campaign, netted against Hoffenheim on Saturday, sealed the Torjägerkanone award and saw him finish five clear of Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy.
During the campaign, Kane averaged a goal every 92 minutes – a reminder that, even after last year’s record-breaking debut of 36 goals in 32 games, his output hasn’t slowed.
These are numbers that place him in elite Bundesliga company and the comparisons to former Bayern man Robert Lewandowski are well-deserved.
With a total of 62 Bundesliga goals across his two seasons, Kane already ranks 10th amongst all active players in the league.

Assists
While scoring goals, Kane has also impressed as a provider.
This season, he registered eight assists, bringing his total goal involvements to 34 – the highest in the Bundesliga.
In doing so, he matched his assist tally from last season, when he also had eight.
However, with 36 goals in 2023-24, he ended that campaign with 44 goal contributions.
Regardless, among Bayern players, only winger Michael Olise boasts better overall numbers than Kane.

Appearances
This season, Kane featured in 31 of Bayern’s 34 Bundesliga matches, starting 28 of them.
Even more striking, the Bavarians did not lose a single game in which Kane was in the starting line-up – of 28 matches, they won 22 and drew six.
Without him in the starting line-up or matchday squad, the numbers tell a different story: three defeats, three wins, and one draw.
That contrast highlights just how crucial Kane is to Bayern’s title ambitions.
He was a consistent presence last season too, missing just two games due to back problems.

All-round play
Kane hasn’t just been consistent in Munich – he has also delivered moments of utter brilliance.
This season alone, he scored four hat-tricks, three of them within the first 10 matchdays.
Moreover, in 2023-24, he recorded three hat-tricks.
Add to that six braces this year and a career-best nine in 2023-24, and the numbers really do speak for themselves.
Week in and week out, Kane delivers.
His time in Munich has come to be defined by his reliability at the highest level.
If he can maintain this level and Bayern manage to keep the core of their squad intact, they will once again be the team to beat in next season’s title race.
