Horse racing news: Buick eyes International Jockeys’ Championship glory after year of Group 1 successes
William Buick will return to Hong Kong at the end of a year of consistent top-level success as he attempts to tick off another major ambition.
It will be the fifth time Buick has participated in the showdown at Happy Valley, but it has not been an event of great fortune for him so far, with a fifth-place finish in 2020 being his best return to date, while he was sixth behind Mickael Barzalona 12 months ago.
Horse racing news: Two-time IJC winner Ryan Moore in contention for December Hong Kong return
Two-time LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship (IJC) winner Ryan Moore is amongst the line-up for this year’s competition and is hoping to recover in time for the event at Happy Valley Racecourse on 10 December.
Moore’s participation in this year’s edition will be subject to final confirmation given his continuing recovery from a fractured femur that has kept him on the sidelines since York’s Ebor Festival in August.

Hong Kong rider Angus Chung will take his first ride in the UK this evening aboard the Craig Benton–trained Dreamcrafter at Windsor Racecourse (7:35pm).
He arrived in the country recently and will be based with Ralph Beckett during his three-week stay.
