The Toon have scored before half-time in each of their last four home games and backing them to win this 2-1 would not be the worst bet in the world.

Hull City vs Aston Villa
UK life in 2026 is buck wild. The price of everything has gone up so much that finding something for under a fiver feels like discovering oil.
Add to this the small fact that Hull are joint top of the Premier League after two wins from two.
The good news for Villa fans is that the Tigers have won just one of their last 16 matches against Aston Villa. The bad news for Villa fans is that your team is sh*te.
It has been a painful summer to be a Villa fan. They have lost the spine of their team with Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, Ezri Konsa, Lucas Digne, Emiliano Martinez and Ollie Watkins all offski.
I mean, who signed all that off? You were playing PSG in the Super Cup just a few weeks ago and now languish at the wrong end of the Premier League table (no goals scored and five conceded will tend to do that, by the way).
Regardless of Brian Madjo's potential, magic man Unai Emery clearly has his work cut out for him this season.
Hull's total expenditure in the summer transfer window is about £150m, so they obviously intend to have a pop when it comes to staying up.
They are 3/1 at home to win this. Trust me. That price screams value more than the ASDA whoopsie aisle.

Everton vs Manchester United
Will Everton's shambolic end to the transfer window distract them ahead of this one?
Their most creative player, Iliman Ndiaye, has left for Manchester City, while Beto has bailed on them as well after moving to Italy.
Only the bottom three, Villa, Sunderland and Crystal Palace, scored fewer Premier League goals than Everton last season.
So, you have to question whether selling Ndiaye and Beto - who between them scored 15 of the Toffees’ 47 league goals last season - was a shrewd move?
Time will tell, of course. They’ve brought Jack Grealish back to Merseyside, and as things stand are still unbeaten, but Manchester United to win to nil at 17/5 under the circumstances looks big.

Arsenal vs Chelsea
There are London derbies, and there are London derbies that arrive carrying the weight of a title decider in September.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both made 100% starts, but how they both arrived at six points after two games could not have been more contrasting.
Arsenal have been dogmatic and imposing defensively. The Blues meanwhile have been more extravagant: seven goals scored, five conceded, and a new manager in Xabi Alonso encouraging a side whose attacking talent can make defence look like an afterthought.
Arsenal sold five forward players in the transfer window and only signed one - will this come back to bite them in the a*se in the final reckoning?
Mikel Arteta has received a bit of stick for the business they have done this summer, but as my mate who's a Gooner pointed out in a WhatsApp message the other night - a squad that contains Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres, Christos Tzolis, Noni Madueke, Max Dowman and Mikel Merino can hardly be called short of options.
So, who wins on Sunday? Arteta or Alonso. The immovable object vs the unstoppable force?
I fancy Arsenal, if I am honest, but I do fancy Chelsea to become the first team to score against them.
