NFL Week 7 predictions: Caleb Williams to outplay Drake Maye, Steelers to win NFL’s first Paris game

The weather is getting colder, the NFL is reaching its halfway point, we are well and truly into football season now.

Week seven starts with a tasty match-up between the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears. Expect a great duel between Drake Maye and Caleb Williams!

The NFL ventures to France for the first time, where Aaron Rodgers will be looking to continue his impressive season against the Saints.

All eyes will be on Sunday night when the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs face the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks.

To add more intrigue, Kenneth Walker III will return to Seattle after signing with the Chiefs.

And despite both having 2-4 records, games between the Eagles and Cowboys always have fireworks

Here, Sports News Blitz’s Josiah Burdsall makes his predictions for four big games this week.

New England Patriots (4-2) vs Chicago Bears (4-2)

The Patriots travel to Chicago on a three-game winning streak.

Caleb Williams returned in style last week, completing 30 out of 36 passes for 305 yards.

Williams has started and completed two games this season. In those games, the Bears scored 90 points.

Even better for Chicago, Kyler Gordon also returned, making an immediate impact with three sacks.

Williams fellow 2024 draftee, Drake Maye, has picked up the pace after a disappointing start to the season. He has now thrown for 10 touchdowns in the last three games.

Maye is running out of wide receivers to throw to, however, with Mack Hollins and Romeo Doubs out of the game.

It’s not just their offense, the Patriots have somehow lost three cornerbacks already.

Despite this, New England only comes into the game as three-point underdogs.

Can the banged up Patriots win in Chicago? With Williams back in action, the Bears will feel confident.

Prediction: Chicago Bears win

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) vs New Orleans Saints (2-4)

There aren’t any more games in London, but the Steelers and Saints will be playing on a European time zone in Paris.

The two teams will travel to France in high spirits, the Steelers are on a two-game winning streak, and New Orleans got a much-needed win against the Giants in week six.

At the age of 42, Rodgers has done well in a quietly solid Steelers offense. They have scored 24+ points in their last four games.

Against the Saints who are 31st in the league for points allowed, this could get ugly.

Where New Orleans will have some hope is their offense, which has averaged 25.3 points per game.

Against the likes of Jalen Ramsey and TJ Watt, the Saints will see if their offense can perform against a more elite unit.

Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers win

Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) vs Seattle Seahawks (3-3)

After missing the playoffs last season, the Chiefs have squashed any conversations about their dynasty ending with a 5-0 start.

This is a notable game for Kenneth Walker III, who is playing the Seahawks for the first time since he was the Super Bowl LX MVP with them.

With six touchdowns and 665 rushing yards on the year, Walker has been worth every penny of his $43 million contract with Kansas City.

On top of that, Patrick Mahomes is as solid as ever. The Chiefs lead the league in yards per game.

At the time of writing this, it’s still unknown if Zach Charbonnet will be available for the Seahawks. If he plays it would be a massive boost to their struggling offense.

In Charbonnet’s absence, the Seahawks have been unable to get the run game going. Sam Darnold has not helped the situation by throwing seven interceptions this year.

Whilst the Chiefs do lead the league in yards per game, the Seahawks defense has allowed the fewest in the NFL.

The Seahawks defense is an elite unit, but will their offense rise to the occasion?

Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs win

Dallas Cowboys (2-4) vs Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)

It’s been two weeks since an NFC East team won a game.

Now one of them has to win… probably - they could tie like the Giants and Commanders did in week five.

There is usually more hype for one of the NFL’s great rivalries, but the Eagles and Cowboys are unusually bad.

Philadelphia’s season is falling apart on and off the field after it was reported that Jalen Hurts was cleared to play the Jaguars whilst having blood clots.

Hurts is now out for the season. The Eagles must rely on Tanner McKee, who has played in seven career NFL games.

Against most teams, Philadelphia would have no chance, but the Cowboys have had an equally demoralising season.

In the last two weeks, they have had disappointing losses to the Packers and Buccaneers.

Their defense is 30th in the NFL for yards allowed, but are facing one of the worst offenses in the NFL with a backup QB.

If the Cowboys can have even an average game offensively, the Eagles will struggle to match them.

Prediction: Dallas Cowboys win
