NFL betting tips: Ravens to struggle without Lamar Jackson, Eagles look to bounce back against Giants

The NFL is in London once again this week as the high-flying Denver Broncos take on a wayward New York Jets outfit.

In week five, the Broncos upset the reigning Super Bowl champions, with a phenomenal fourth-quarter comeback spelling an end to the Philadelphia Eagles’ unbeaten streak.

Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Rams failed to secure a win against the San Francisco 49ers, although their defence still held strong, and they will be looking to bounce back at the injury-stricken Baltimore Ravens.

Here, Sports News Blitz’s Sam Condy breaks down three of the best picks ahead of NFL gameweek six.

Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants

The Eagles suffered a major collapse in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos last week. A team that has looked near impeccable this season hit a major roadblock.

It should serve as a huge wake-up call for Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Philly side; they mustn’t get complacent.

The Giants provide a good starting point for them to re-level their heads. The New York outfit suffered five turnovers in a loss to the New Orleans Saints.

If Hurts can get his offence firing, this week should serve as a real confidence booster for the stumbling Super Bowl champs.

A rushing Philadelphia offence should be able to blow open the Giants’ defence, but Saquon Barkley will need to be offered room to shine, having only been given six carries in their dismal week five.

Denver Broncos vs New York Jets

The NFL is staying in London for one more week, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once again will play host to some weekend Gridiron action.

This time, it’s the Broncos heading to London looking to build on their phenomenal performance last week, when a late push snatched a win from the Eagles

Denver’s defence proved pivotal in keeping the Eagles at bay, and they have another opportunity to shine against a winless New York Jets.

The Jets haven't been completely broken down during the opening five, and while they will likely lose this weekend, they may once again hold it to a somewhat close affair.

Los Angeles Rams vs Baltimore Ravens

There is a cloud of uncertainty hanging over Lamar Jackson's status. After suffering a hamstring injury, it is unclear if he will return this week.

It may be a smart move in the long term for the Ravens to keep their star man sidelined, as compounding his problem would severely dampen their postseason plans.

However, the Ravens are 4-10 without Jackson in the lineup, so they may have to sacrifice a win this week in the hopes of better things to come.

Baltimore have conceded 177 points this season, the most in the NFL, and with wide receiver Puka Nacua currently leading the line as the favourite to win offensive player of the year, it could be a long day in Baltimore for the injury-ridden side.

Suggested bet: Los Angeles Rams (-9.5) @ 27/25 with 888 Sport
