Masters 2026 betting tips: Bryson DeChambeau, Robert MacIntyre and Tyrell Hatton in the running
Throughout the year, a few sporting events capture the eyes of the globe – and the Masters golf tournament is one of them.
Set at Augusta National Golf Club, the world’s hottest talents converge on golf’s finest fairways.
Excitement, drama, surprise – the world is watching.
Augusta is no easy feat. The parkland oasis has lengthened through the years, keeping up with the demand of the long drivers on tour in the modern day.
However, it hasn't lost any of its charm.
Tight landing zones, mercilessly placed bunkers, and tournament-ruining water hazards litter the course.
To win the best, the best must bring their A-game; mistakes do not go unpunished.
Tidy ball striking and strokes gained on the green are a must here.
Slip-ups are unavoidable; minimising mistakes and maintaining a cool head under pressure is paramount.
Here, Sports News Blitz’s Sam Condy reveals his favourite picks ahead of golf’s biggest spectacle.
Who are my big hitters?
Augusta is where the big dogs eat.
The pressure is one of a kind, and nine times out of 10 it takes a seasoned superstar to hold their nerve through 72 holes at one of golf's toughest tests.
Bryson DeChambeau
The biggest favourite without a previous win at Augusta is, without a doubt, Bryson DeChambeau.
He may be a polarising figure in the golfing world, but there is no questioning the American's talent.
He was in the running last year before the wheels fell off on Sunday.
However, the 32-year-old always seems to turn up when it matters most.
At this point, it’s a matter of when, not if, he will get his hands on the coveted green jacket.
To win: 14/1 with Priced Up
Jon Rahm
Behind Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm is the bookies' next pick.
The Spaniard picked up the individual LIV title last year and nabbed a maiden 2026 victory in Hong Kong last month.
The LIV star has yet to miss a cut at Augusta, and his smart iron play lends itself to the tricky layout in Georgia.
To win: 11/1 with William Hill
Ludvig Aberg
The Swede finished second in 2024 and seventh last year.
Unfortunately, despite his talent, he has a knack for folding when the pressure mounts.
Although, he may be pushing past this hump as he clinched a T5 at The Players Championship while also finishing inside the top five at both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Valero Texas Open.
To win: 18/1 with Unibet

Take a punt
There’s no denying that when it comes to golf, form matters.
As the major season kicks off, a confident golfer is a dangerous golfer.
These guys may not be worth an outright punt but have a great chance of placing well – an each-way bet here is enticing.
Robert MacIntyre
He may be a fellow Scot, but I promise I'm not biased!
Jokes aside, Bobby Mac’s game continues to improve, his decision making is excellent, and his elite iron-play makes him a solid choice ahead of Masters weekend.
He has two top fives this year and feels closer than ever to a major triumph.
Even better, he’s left-handed.
Augusta features numerous dog-leg lefts, an uncompromising layout for right-handers, who often have to force an unnatural draw of the ball to set themselves up on the fairway.
This is not an issue for MacIntyre; he can play into his fade and will feel far more comfortable on the course than a majority of his competitors.
Each-way: 28/1 (8 EW, 1/5) with Bet365
Cameron Young
Young is arriving at Augusta riding three-straight top-seven finishes.
The American has been enjoying the best form of his life off the back of a maiden PGA Tour win at the Wyndham Championship last year.
He has since picked up silverware again, winning The Players – firmly placing his name amongst the golfing best.
He also hits long, with a right-to-left ball flight, naturally suited to the layout of Augusta National.
Each-way: 18/1 (8 EW, 1/5) with Bet365
Tyrell Hatton
Smart play works at Augusta, with Rory McIlroy once comparing winning Masters golf to ‘boring golf’.
And there are few players more intelligent in the game at present than Tyrell Hatton.
The Englishman excels with his irons and on the green, paramount to safe play around Augusta’s hallowed 18.
Further backing him this year is his unwavering consistency.
Hatton rarely has an off week, largely thanks to his calm and collected course management and decision-making.
He has also finished inside the top 15 in his last two Masters showings.
So, he may not be in the form of his life, but Hatton suits the golf mainstage to a tee.
I won't be surprised if he puts on a show this week.
Each-way: 80/1 (8 EW, 1/5) with Bet365
