IPL betting tips: Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings to lead the charge – Best bets, odds and value plays

IPL 2026 is getting bigger and better with each passing day, and we can’t wait for this week’s action.

Here’s a breakdown of the best bets from Week Six of the Indian Premier League, as Sports News Blitz’s cricket betting expert Himanshu Sharma picks the biggest fixtures.

Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Venue: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Date and time: April 27 (Monday) at 7:30pm local time (3pm BST)

Delhi Capitals have been unpredictable, with a mixed bag of results so far.

They will still be hurting after failing to defend an imposing 264 against Punjab Kings in their last match.

DC have cracked under pressure, with both their bowling execution at death and fielding lapses.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on the other hand, have been near flawless, with consistency across both batting and bowling.

Back RCB at 1.70. They’re a stable side in both first innings and in a chase scenario.

DC at 2.10 is not worth the risk unless they are chasing sub-200.

Top batter markets could be worth a look too, with in-form players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul offering consistency.

Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals

Venue: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur Date and time: April 28 (Tuesday) at 7:30pm local time (3pm BST)

Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings aren’t just winning. They have made a strong statement to emerge as the title favourites.

Unbeaten. Chasing down mammoth targets with ease. Bowling is holding up. Every box ticked.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have faced three defeats in their last four games after four straight wins to start their campaign.

They must fix the middle-order woes and indisciplined bowling against formidable Punjab.

At 1.70, Punjab’s edge as winner is perfectly clear.

Royals at 2.10 are not worth the risk. Everything must click for an RR win. Right now, too many things aren’t.

Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Venue: Wankhede Stadium Date & time: April 29 (Wednesday) at 7:30pm local time (3pm BST)

We are at the halfway stage of the season and the mighty Mumbai Indians are yet to find rhythm.

However, as per the markets, ‘they’re not done yet’. Priced on reputation, not performances.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad are riding high on the back of four straight wins.

SRH would fancy chances at the high-scoring Wankhede, which suits them better.

Mumbai doesn't deserve favouritism from markets at 1.85. Hyderabad offers better value at 1.95 basis conditions and form.

Gujarat Titans vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad Date & time: April 30 (Thursday) at 7:30pm local time (3pm BST)

Gujarat Titans have been badly exposed time and again this season.

The pattern is hard to ignore now. The lack of firepower in the middle order continues to stall innings.

In contrast, Royal Challengers Bengaluru look like one of the most complete sides.

Their batting has depth, bowling has variety, and more importantly, there is control across phases.

This could be another routine win for RCB unless Gujarat springs a surprise.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru at 1.78 feels fair since they’re winning most games without breaking a sweat.

Gujarat Titans at 2.04 look slightly overpriced rather than offering genuine value.
