Horse racing news: Shrewd Hertfordshire punter lands juicy £39k payout from William Hill
William Hill have been hit by a big racing winner as a shrewd Hertfordshire punter landed a £39,021 total return from two bets on Wednesday evening’s action from Ffos Las and Kempton.
The winning began when Son of Astar (4/1) took the 7.10pm from Ffos Las, followed by Kingdom of Stars (9/4) at Kempton and Spartan Times (2/5) back at Ffos Las, before Capuchinero landed the odds as a 33/1 shot in the 8.25pm from Kempton.
The bettor combined these selections in a £20 four-fold accumulator which returned £15,470 as well as a £10 Lucky 15 returning £23,551.
Shrewd punter strikes gold
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We’ve been hit by a couple of corking racing multiples as a smart punter walked away with nearly £40,000 after four selections did the business on Wednesday evening, having placed the bets in our Flamstead shop in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
“They’ve managed to not only land a £20 four-fold acca but also a £10 Lucky 15, meaning they’ve walked away with £39,021.
“We just have to take our hats off to them; it’s not every day that you head to your local William Hill shop, place a four-fold acca and a Lucky 15, and walk away with a hefty five-figure sum, so credit where it’s due to this shrewd punter.”
