Five Premier League players whose market value could soar in 2026/27
The 2026/27 Premier League season is well underway, with players across the division already making their marks as clubs look to achieve their ambitions for the campaign.
For some players, a strong start could prove crucial in attracting interest from clubs across the world, increasing their transfer value and establishing themselves as the league’s biggest stars.
With that in mind, Sports News Blitz writer Max Steel takes a look at five players whose market value could explode this season.
1. Charalampos Kostoulas - Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton & Hove Albion have enjoyed a sublime start to the season, scoring 23 goals in just seven games, so it is only right to highlight some of the players helping drive their attacking success.
Charalampos Kostoulas has scored three times and registered two assists in the opening seven games, including a stunning strike from outside the area against David Raya as Brighton cruised to a 3-0 victory over reigning champions Arsenal.
The Greek striker came through the ranks at Olympiacos, enjoying a breakout 2024/25 campaign in which he helped his side secure a league and cup double, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
He joined Brighton for a sizeable £33million in July 2025 but endured a relatively quiet first season in English football.
Kostoulas started just two Premier League games, accumulating only 353 minutes, although he still managed two goals and one assist.
However, his start to the current campaign has been hugely encouraging. He has benefited from Brighton's ability to create a wealth of chances, showing signs that he could become a key figure in their attack.
His intelligent movement and powerful ball-striking, combined with his surprising strength for a striker standing around 6ft 1in, make Kostoulas an exciting prospect.
He has the physical attributes to compete with established defenders, while his technical quality gives Brighton another dimension in the final third.
If both Kostoulas and Brighton can maintain their current form, his market value could rise significantly beyond its reported £38m valuation, further highlighting the potential of one of the Premier League's most exciting young forwards.
2. Joshua King - Fulham
Joshua King has been Fulham's brightest spark in a relatively disappointing start to their Premier League campaign.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has scored twice in his opening seven games this season but, perhaps more impressively, boasts an average rating of 7.22 across those appearances, according to FotMob.
The Fulham academy graduate enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last season, featuring in 32 Premier League games and registering four goal contributions.
While his attacking output was modest, gaining that much first-team experience at such a young age will have been hugely valuable to both King and Fulham.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of King's development so far has been how quickly he has earned the trust of Fulham's coaching staff, establishing himself as a genuine first-team option rather than simply an academy prospect.
He has taken another step forward this campaign, reportedly ranking first in the Premier League for progressions into the penalty area, according to Gradient Sports.
It is a statistic that reflects his direct style of play and willingness to carry the ball into dangerous areas.
The diminutive attacking midfielder thrives when receiving possession between the lines and driving forward, helping Fulham turn possession into attacking opportunities.
Standing at around 5ft 8ins, King is not the most physically imposing player, but his movement, technical ability and understanding of space allow him to trouble opposition defences.
With a reported market value of around £35m, King is already attracting attention as one of English football's promising young talents.
If he can translate his impressive underlying numbers into greater goalscoring and creative output, his valuation could rise considerably.
3. Mohamed Belloumi - Hull City
Mohamed Belloumi has been a standout performer for Hull City, who have enjoyed a hugely positive start to life in the Premier League.
With three goals and two assists in his opening seven games, the Algerian winger has demonstrated that he has the attacking quality to compete on the biggest stage, finding the net against both Everton and Chelsea.
Belloumi joined Hull City from Portuguese side Farense for a reported £5.5m fee.
His first season in English football saw him adapt to the demands of the Championship, registering three goals and four assists while familiarising himself with the physicality and intensity of the English game.
That campaign ultimately ended with Hull securing promotion to the Premier League at Wembley.
However, there would understandably have been questions over whether Belloumi could make the step up and establish himself as a consistent performer in the top flight.
So far this season, he has answered those doubts emphatically.
His attacking output has been impressive, highlighted by a stunning brace at Stamford Bridge, while his willingness to take defenders on and drive forward has given Hull a dangerous outlet in transition.
Perhaps one of Belloumi's most impressive attributes, however, is that he is far from an attacking luxury.
While his reputation is built around his flair and creativity, he has repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to work hard out of possession and contribute defensively.
Premier League statistics show that the Algerian has won 12 of his 20 attempted tackles this season, alongside averaging 1.75 interceptions per 90 minutes.
These are encouraging numbers for an attacking player, particularly in a Hull side that cannot always expect to dominate possession.
His market value currently stands at around £15m. If Belloumi can maintain his attacking output while continuing to contribute defensively, that valuation could rise considerably.
4. Anton Stach - Leeds United
Anton Stach is slightly older than the players featured before him at 27, but his influence in Leeds United's midfield has been significant.
Stach signed for Leeds in 2025 ahead of the 2025/26 season for a reported fee of around £20m
In his first Premier League campaign, he made 29 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
The German has started this season in similar form, scoring once in his opening seven games.
As Leeds look to build on their successful return to the Premier League last season, Stach remains a key figure in their midfield.
A physically imposing and versatile central midfielder, Stach's game is built around winning possession, covering ground and progressing the ball.
Standing at 6ft 4ins, he brings considerable physicality to the side while also providing an aerial threat.
The German also possesses an impressive set-piece delivery, capable of creating opportunities for his team-mates as well as scoring himself.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin offering a presence in the penalty area, Stach's delivery provides Leeds with another potential attacking weapon.
Having already demonstrated his ability to perform consistently in the Premier League, Stach has the foundations to take his game to another level this season.
If Leeds continue to build momentum and establish themselves in the division, his performances could attract greater attention from potential suitors.
At 27, he may not have the same long-term potential as some of the younger players on this list.
However, a strong campaign could still see his market value climb beyond its current estimated £30m.

5. Julio Enciso - Ipswich Town
Julio Enciso has been at the heart of Ipswich Town's positive start to life in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old has registered two assists in his opening seven games, showing early signs of the attacking quality he can bring to the side.
Enciso signed for Ipswich this summer from Strasbourg for a reported fee of around £30m.
Despite his age, the Paraguayan is no stranger to English football, having previously spent three seasons with Brighton before gaining further experience abroad.
That experience has added maturity to his game, and Enciso now has another opportunity to establish himself as a key figure in the Premier League.
With Ipswich looking to build on their positive start, his creativity could prove vital as they look to climb the table and strengthen their position in the division.
The Paraguayan is an attack-minded technician who thrives on taking risks and creating chances in the final third.
One of his biggest strengths is his directness, with Enciso looking to commit opponents, beat defenders and create openings for himself and his team-mates.
Comfortable playing as a No.10 or on the wing, his versatility makes him an even more attractive asset.
His attacking output remains the main question mark, however.
While his two assists in the opening seven games provide an encouraging start, Enciso will need to contribute more consistently in front of goal if he is to take his game to the next level.
Ipswich's investment in attacking talent this summer could help unlock his potential, giving him more options to combine with and create opportunities for.
If Enciso can turn his creativity into regular goals and assists, his market value could rise beyond the £30m Ipswich invested in him, making him one of the most exciting attacking talents outside the Premier League's elite clubs.
