Cheltenham Festival 2026 day two: Tips for televised races on ITV

After an action-packed opening day, Prestbury Park opens its doors once more as the second day of the Cheltenham Festival gets underway.

Sports News Blitz’s Jeff Mexico and Kieran McHugh survived the first day of the ‘Fez’ and return for round two at HQ on Wednesday, March 11.

It was the established veteran Mr Mexico who flew the flag for SNB on Tuesday, meaning he now qualifies for the ‘veterans series finale chase’ at Haydock on Saturday, April 4.

Jeff’s profit from tipping up Kargese means that he can still keep his six glasses of port for breakfast.

In a display of unity showing that racing can truly conquer the age gap, the dynamic duo both sided with Lossiemouth in Tuesday’s main event – with that choice paying dividends.

So much so, Mr McHugh was now able to pay for one litre of fuel.

Without further ado, we have again asked the pair to provide us with two selections for each televised race – one ‘Win’ selection and one ‘Each-way’ selection.

Based on absolutely nothing but vibes, hunches, and the occasional misread funny horse name.

The first race is underway at 1:20pm and proceedings conclude at 4:40pm, leaving 20 minutes for tea, tears, and tribulations before you can rage all over again because someone took the minus offer on The Chase.
